Springtime in America?

So okay. In the countries swept by revolution this spring we find:

1. Top 1% of the country controls the biggest share of the wealth?  Check
2. Wealth is the primary determinate of power?  Check 
3. Entrenched corruption?  Check
4. Reform blocked by the wealthy and powerful? Check 

So, when do we get our American Spring?

There are still a couple of months before summer.

So Congress is all in a tizzy about eliminating earmarks. And the President will veto any bill that contains them. And even Sen. Inouye - a supporter of earmarks - says nothing with them will get through his committee.

It is all ..."a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing..."

Not the mention that, for many districts, the only thing they ever see coming from DC is the occasional small project their Senator or Congressman is able to pull off, using earmarks.

Tea Party's got everybody shaking in their boots. And trying to be just as stupid as they are.
